Cycling in Mallorca

Arrival to Palma de Mallorca airport, where the local guide will be waiting for us. Then private bus transfer (about 35 minutes) to our hotel in Porreres, where we will stay for the first four nights.

Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit! Today we don’t have a program so it is a good opportunity to enjoy the fantastic swimming pool. 

In the evening we will enjoy our welcome dinner at the hotel.

In the morning the bikes will be handed over at the hotel.

Today you start your exploration of this beautiful island. Some highlights along the way will be the beautiful small country roads on which you will cycle, the quite town of Campos, the almond groves and small cereal plantations either side of the road, filled with wild flowers, the windmills that make this area famous, the salt fields where you might be able to see flamingos and other rare birds and the stunning wild beach of Es Trenc.

We head to the salt production Salines. After visiting the Salines we will to the beach of Es Trenc where we will have a chance to swim and where we will have a Picnic. After lunch we will head back to the hotel a different way through beautiful countryside.

Today we will start cycling from the hotel to the seaside quite town of Sa Rapita where will stop for having a coffee while we enjoy the beatiful view of La Cabrera Island in the horizon, then we will cycle along a short cycle track right by the sea until we turn to the interior along quiet country lanes. We aim to get to the lovely town of Llucmayor where we will have lunch at a restaurant. After having lunch time for short walk for the old quarter with its beautiful main square, its impressive church (the 2^nd bigger in Mallorca) and charming pedestrian streets. Then we will cycle the last 11 km back to our hotelin Porreres.

Today´s cycle is another circular route which continues the theme of exploration of the interior of the island. We will pass through the town of Montuiri where we have a coffee and then we will visit the pre roman remains of Son Fornes. We aim to reach the market town of Sineu where we will be able to stop for a walk around town and have our picnic before returning to Porreres a different way. The way back takes us through quiet country lanes and pretty countryside.

We move north today to the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains. The cycle will take you along beautiful small country lanes passing several towns. Today we will also came across some of the wineyards that produce the wines of the region. Then in Binissalem (the capital of Mallorca wine) we will visit one of the wineries where we will be able to taste some of the local wines as well as delicious “tapas” of local food.

After the wineyard visit we will carry on cycling to Lloseta, Selva and finally to our hotel in Moscari where we will stay for 2 nights.

Today’s circular cycle takes us along a beautiful valley across the town of Campanet, over to the north-western coast of Mallorca to visit the historic town of Alcudia with its beautiful walls and town center full of shops and cafes. After a coffee and a walk in Alcudia we will aim along the sea front to the coast to have a picnic by the sea. After lunch only a few kms ride take us to our next stop in the historic town of Pollensa. We then return to our hotel in Moscari.

Today we are heading back to the Capital, Palma de Mallorca. We will go towards Palma aiming first to the coast where we can have a quick swim before entering the city by the sea on a cycle lane. We will have a picnic along the way.

After a rest we will meet for our final dinner at a restaurant by the port.
